About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to detect and respond to fraudulent activities, security events, and security incidents
- Analyze security events and incidents to identify trends, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities and work with relevant teams to remediate them
- Administer and maintain security tools, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM systems
- Participate in incident response, including investigation, containment, and resolution
- Document incident response procedures and lessons learned
- Create and deliver security awareness training materials and campaigns
- Support compliance with regulations, standards, and policies including GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS
- Contribute to security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborate on security infrastructure upgrades, risk assessments, and security audits
- Maintain security controls throughout the software development lifecycle according to secure coding practices such as OWASP
- Integrate security tools and processes into CI/CD pipelines for automated security testing and validation
- Identify and recommend fixes for codebase security issues and collaborate with engineers on application vulnerabilities
- Automate vulnerability scanning, configuration management, and incident response processes
- Report to the Chief Information Security Officer and cooperate with the Security Engineer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field
- Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners (Shodan.io, Nessus, DefectDojo), IDS/IPS, and code analysis tools (SonarQube)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
