About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement Pigment infrastructure for future scale
- Define, build, automate, and scale infrastructure according to platform usage
- Ensure high availability and redundancy of the Pigment platform
- Monitor platform performance and correctness and promote observability best practices
- Participate in incident response
- Support Pigment’s geographical expansion and overseas client growth
- Work with the security team on infrastructure and development-pipeline roadmap initiatives
- Improve and automate development practices and pipelines and drive change across software engineering
- Contribute to software development activities
- Collaborate closely with software engineers as part of the SRE team
- Participate in the full application development lifecycle, including design, coding, and production operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience as a software engineer and DevOps / SRE
- Experience with a container orchestration platform; Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with a public cloud provider; GCP is a plus
- Proven software development experience with C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, or Jaeger
- Fluency in English
- Problem-solving attitude and great team spirit
- Humility and willingness to grow
