About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate attorney recruiting efforts across offices for law clerk, judicial clerk, undergraduate, and lateral attorney candidates
- Manage candidate communications and serve as a point of contact throughout the recruiting process
- Schedule screening interviews, callback interviews, candidate meetings, and office visits
- Prepare interview schedules, candidate materials, evaluations, and offer-related documentation
- Coordinate law school recruiting programs, career fairs, interview programs, networking events, and student outreach initiatives
- Manage recruiting event logistics, sponsorships, registrations, and recruiting materials
- Track recruiting timelines, application deadlines, and hiring activity
- Coordinate onboarding activities for newly hired associates, counsel, and lateral attorneys
- Plan and execute orientation programs, welcome initiatives, and integration activities
- Support mentor and integration programs
- Assist with planning and execution of the Summer Associate Program and Summer Patent Internship Program
- Coordinate orientation, training programs, social events, evaluations, work assignment tracking, and program communications
- Support attorney engagement, integration, retention, professional development, mentoring, and networking initiatives
- Maintain recruiting databases, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting records
- Track and report recruiting metrics, hiring activity, event participation, and related analytics
- Assist with recruiting budgets, expense management, and vendor coordination
- Support continuous improvement and strategic recruiting initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-3 years of professional experience in attorney recruiting, recruiting, human resources, or a related field
- Prior law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Experience coordinating multiple projects, events, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting recruiting, hiring, onboarding, or employee engagement initiatives preferred
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with attorneys, candidates, law students, firm leadership, and administrative professionals
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and commitment to delivering a positive candidate and attorney experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate needs and proactively address issues
- Regular travel to Austin/Houston as needed
- Occasional evening and overnight travel required in connection with recruiting events, law school programs, and firm initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting databases, or human resources information systems preferred
- Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and recruiting metrics
