About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop market-leading, open-standards-first identity, authentication, and authorization platform features
Work as part of an agile development team to implement high-quality product features
Use AI tooling in the engineering workflow to accelerate discovery and delivery
Collaborate with product management and product owners to improve the platform and develop new features
Understand and improve local and cloud deployments
Plan and estimate work
Maintain existing code and resolve reported defects
Contribute to the team culture and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong familiarity with the Java programming language
Desire to learn and curiosity to understand how and why things work
Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly and independently and understand complex features and environments
Ability to use AI engineering tools for research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation while applying sound engineering judgment
Familiarity with UI development using JavaScript and Vue or React frameworks (bonus)
Experience with IDEs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, or Bazel (bonus)
Solid understanding of RESTful web services (bonus)
Experience with identity management technologies and protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate and key management, and cryptography (bonus)
Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and security configurations (bonus)
Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and modern web application development (bonus)
