About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate clients’ speech, language, and hearing abilities and recommend strategies to enhance communication and hearing
  • Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments, including OASIS evaluations
  • Develop and revise treatment plans in consultation with physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on care plans
  • Provide speech pathology training to team members as needed
  • Educate clients and families on speech therapy techniques and related challenges
  • Document evaluation data, treatments, and client progress promptly
  • Supervise Home Health Aides every 14 days when Speech Therapy is the sole discipline involved
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, ensuring orders are appropriate and addressing changes in client condition
  • Participate in periodic care plan revisions, update physicians on client status, and obtain additional orders as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Licensed Speech Therapist in Florida
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Valid driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle
  • Strong emotional resilience and physical stamina, including the ability to stand, stoop, and bend frequently
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and observational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
