About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial and strategic oversight for Pinterest’s technology infrastructure investments, primarily AWS
  • Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams on annual, monthly, and weekly operational investment forecasts
  • Develop infrastructure demand and financial forecasts
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis
  • Improve and automate OPEX and infrastructure forecasting, reporting tools, and processes
  • Embed AI tools into forecasting, metrics analysis, and finance decision-making
  • Design usage prediction models for short- and long-term resource capacity needs
  • Identify risks and opportunities
  • Perform strategic, time-sensitive analysis and communicate key takeaways
  • Manage key vendor relationships, especially AWS, and allocate and track costs appropriately

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience forecasting expenses, preferably managing technology infrastructure spending on public cloud platforms and product offerings
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for financial analysis and forecasting, validating outputs and owning final recommendations
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams end-to-end and working across multiple functions and teams
  • Expertise building high-level and detailed financial models
  • Strong business partnership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and deliver against timelines
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of Finance or Business Operational experience in a fast-paced industry
  • Must be based in the United States; this position is not eligible for relocation assistance
