Build cutting-edge technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest
Partner with teams across Pinterest to experiment with and improve ML models for Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search
Use data-driven methods and unique data properties to improve candidate retrieval
Work in a high-impact environment with rapid experimentation and product launches
Keep up with industry trends in recommendation systems
Contribute to personalized experiences and large-scale recommendation systems for Pinterest’s users

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of industry experience applying machine learning methods, including user modeling, personalization, recommender systems, search, ranking, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, or graph representation learning
End-to-end hands-on experience building data processing pipelines, large-scale machine learning systems, and big data technologies such as Hadoop/Spark
Degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or a related field
Nice to have: Publications at top ML conferences
Nice to have: Experience using Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or similar AI coding assistants for development, debugging, testing, and refactoring
Nice to have: Familiarity with LLM-powered productivity tools for documentation search, experiment analysis, SQL/data exploration, and engineering workflow acceleration
Nice to have: Expertise in scalable real-time systems that process stream data
Nice to have: Passion for applied ML and the Pinterest product
Nice to have: MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience
