About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead or support programs scaling Pinterest's Shopping and Ads catalog, indexing, and retrieval systems to billions of items
  • Drive cross-team execution for infrastructure modernization, including migrations to next-generation compute and storage platforms
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and risks across service owners
  • Build and maintain program dashboards and reporting for engineering and business stakeholders
  • Partner with engineering on reliability and incident-response initiatives for revenue-critical serving systems
  • Communicate technical tradeoffs and program status to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Use GenAI for program execution, including AI-assisted artifacts, intake triage, status synthesis, action and decision extraction, and risk/dependency tracking
  • Prototype data-driven dashboards, workflow helpers, and internal tools using AI coding assistants
  • Follow Pinterest AI guidance for risk, governance, safety-by-design, sensitive data handling, output validation, and compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of TPM/Product Ownership experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs
  • Experience ideally within large-scale distributed systems, search/retrieval, or ads/monetization infrastructure
  • Understanding of large-scale serving, indexing, or retrieval systems and scaling tradeoffs
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building dashboards, interpreting data, and using insights to drive decisions
  • Collaboration and communication skills with senior engineering and business stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Experience with ads, monetization, or data infrastructure is a plus
  • Workflow design and AI fluency, including prompting, vibe coding, dashboards, data analysis, and agents
  • Safety-by-design AI fluency, including risk assessment, data handling, model/output validation, auditability, and traceability
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must be based in the United States; this position is not eligible for relocation assistance
