About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build full-stack, Pinner-facing features powering Pinterest’s inspiration platform
  • Contribute to and lead product development from ideation through implementation and release
  • Rapidly prototype, run A/B tests, and architect scalable solutions supporting millions of users
  • Partner with design, product, and backend teams to build end-to-end functionality
  • Suggest new product ideas and features from a Pinner perspective
  • Use automated testing to build technically high-quality features and own developed components
  • Work with peers on varied, high-impact projects
  • Create and drive initiatives from inception through technical design, implementation, and release

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years of industry full-stack or backend development experience building consumer- or business-facing products
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in one or more backend and frontend technology stacks, including examples such as JavaScript, React, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing
  • Experience writing reliable and maintainable code used by many other engineers
  • Ability to keep up to date with new technologies and assess what should be incorporated
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Must be based in the US; role can be situated in the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City
  • No relocation assistance is available
