About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete assigned technical projects with attention to quality and incorporate feedback from mentors, managers and peers
Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end contributing to Pinterest products and infrastructure
Build, test, debug and improve code, scripts, automations, internal tools or data workflows
Investigate technical issues using logs, data and documentation; identify root causes, validate solutions and communicate findings
Participate in scheduled engineering on-call coverage during regular workdays and hours
Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations and Support teams, and communicate with external partners where relevant
Improve reporting, monitoring, documentation, sample code and support processes
Use approved AI tools for research, coding, analysis and documentation while validating outputs and protecting confidential information
Work at the intersection of engineering, data and Pinterest’s advertising and revenue ecosystem

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current enrollment in a school or education program while working toward a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, engineering, information systems or a related technical field
Obtain Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field by June 2028
Foundational understanding of programming concepts, debugging and testing
Experience writing and debugging code in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C++
Clear communication of technical thinking and effective collaboration with teammates
Comfort working with structured data in tables or CSV files and using spreadsheets
Experience using AI tools for learning, research or technical problem-solving, with validation of outputs and responsible information handling
