About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set and drive a multi-year strategy for the end-to-end content-to-discovery flywheel across acquisition, processing, indexing, and retrieval/serving
- Own the roadmap for infrastructure supporting content, scraping, and catalog onboarding
- Drive extraction, processing, metadata enrichment, and freshness lifecycle
- Own indexing across Shopping and Search
- Own retrieval and serving, including latency, performance signals, and inventory
- Define measures for freshness and reliability; use data to prioritize investment and demonstrate impact
- Partner across content, shopping, search, and infrastructure teams
- Act as spokesperson for the platform
- Mentor peer product managers; this is not a people-management role
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in product management or technical leadership
- Experience building and launching content, catalog, or commerce-supply platforms and infrastructure at scale
- Direct experience with content/catalog acquisition and onboarding, data enrichment and freshness pipelines, search or shopping indexing, or low-latency retrieval/serving systems
- Track record of improving data quality, freshness, or relevance metrics across a large, multi-stage pipeline
- Strong technical judgment across ingestion, indexing, and serving architecture
- Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams and systems
- Analytical and strategic mindset; comfortable making high-accountability decisions and defining metrics that prove impact
- Exceptional communication and influence at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
