About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently drive a portfolio of Shopping catalog and indexing programs
- Keep engineering owners, timelines, and dependencies on track
- Run standups, planning, decision-tracking, and documentation
- Build and maintain program dashboards and reporting
- Manage cross-team dependencies across catalog, indexing, retrieval, serving, and ads quality
- Communicate across engineering and cross-functional stakeholders
- Use GenAI to create program artifacts and modernize high-toil workflows
- Prototype data-driven dashboards, analyses, process helpers, and internal tools using AI coding assistants
- Follow Pinterest AI guidance for risk, governance, safety-by-design, sensitive data handling, output validation, and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4 years of TPM experience independently driving technical programs to completion
- Foundational understanding of distributed systems concepts, including services, streaming pipelines, and batch vs real-time processing
- Strong execution and follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience building dashboards, tracking metrics, and producing clear status updates
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience managing cross-team dependencies and stakeholder expectations
- Experience with ads, monetization, streaming systems such as Flink/Kafka, or financial-controls processes is a plus
- Workflow design, AI fluency, data and insights orientation
- Experience using GenAI, strong prompting, vibe coding lightweight scripts/tools, dashboards, data analysis, and agents where appropriate
- Safety-by-design AI fluency, including risk assessment, data handling, model/output validation, auditability, and traceability
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
