About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install and configure software applications and hardware peripherals at customer sites
Provide end-user training and create job aides for client administrators/operators
Contribute to revenue growth through sales leads and billable professional services
Deliver solutions remotely and onsite
Work independently and make decisions without immediate management direction
Stay up to date on Pitney Bowes industry knowledge
Maintain, repair, and install mailing equipment for clients
Troubleshoot equipment problems and establish priorities under deadline pressures
Travel daily to multiple customer locations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Understanding of DB connectivity and record set manipulation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Understanding of network configuration, operating systems, software, and hardware
Ability to adapt to changing products, technology, customer personalities, and customer knowledge levels
Ability to analyze hardware and software problems
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle for daily travel to multiple customer locations
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs, with or without accommodation
Ability to maintain, repair, and install mailing equipment such as inserters, sorters, or comparable equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting equipment problems, establishing priorities, and working under deadline pressures
Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical/electrical equipment preferred but not required
Familiarity with a Windows environment and basic knowledge of PC interaction with automated equipment
Ability to work a flexible schedule, travel as required, and work overtime if needed
AA degree in Electronics, Mechanics, Computer Science, or related field preferred
