About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, wholesale, and OEM/private-label channels
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and strategic business partners
  • Lead prospecting, opportunity qualification, commercial proposals, negotiations, and account acquisition
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence and generate sustainable sales growth
  • Identify opportunities within regional grocery, mass merchandise, club, drug, and other retail channels
  • Explore co-manufacturing and private-label opportunities and support commercial discussions with prospective partners
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Prepare business proposals, pricing recommendations, sales forecasts, and commercial presentations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations on new business initiatives and product launches
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline records and provide regular updates
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and other business development activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–8+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or commercial management within the beverage, CPG, retail, wholesale, private-label, or contract-manufacturing industries
  • Proven track record of acquiring new accounts and developing successful business partnerships
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale distribution channels, commercial pricing, and market dynamics
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles, developing commercial proposals, and negotiating business agreements
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%–40%
