About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day origination of project finance facilities, including tax equity, preferred equity, development loans, and construction facilities
  • Negotiate legal and operative transaction documents with counsel and advisors
  • Manage and mentor Capital Markets team members
  • Drive continuous improvement of Capital Markets processes, documentation standards, and origination practices
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership and the executive team on capital formation strategy
  • Execute the Capital Markets strategy through origination of facilities, structures, and relationships
  • Establish feedback loops with Project Finance, FP&A, Accounting, and commercial operations for liquidity planning, capital access, and investor communications
  • Partner with Corporate Finance on enterprise forecasting, liquidity planning, and covenant management
  • Build scalable processes with Project Delivery, O&M, Asset Management, and Revenue Operations
  • Travel regularly to build and maintain capital-provider relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 8+ years in project finance, capital markets, corporate finance, or a similar position
  • Proven track record of structuring and leading complex financings at scale, including tax equity, preferred equity, and debt for renewable projects and portfolios
  • Demonstrated success in senior leadership, including developing leaders, shaping organizational design, and driving cross-functional alignment
  • Strong external presence with capital providers, banks, and investors
  • Systems-level thinker with the ability to balance execution oversight and strategic design
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and executive communication skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms such as Intacct and Procore
  • Proven track record of executive-level relationship management with banks, investors, and rating agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale organizations, create management layers, build succession plans, and foster leadership at multiple levels
  • Experience representing Finance in cross-functional executive committees or boards
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and methods and ability to adopt impactful automation
