About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in salary surveys, analyze market trends, and benchmark jobs internally and externally to determine competitive pay
- Assist with the merit increase process and develop input sheets
- Conduct equity analyses to ensure pay fairness and compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Clean and analyze ATS, payroll, and employee survey data to identify patterns in turnover, hiring, and performance
- Develop HR dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations to track workforce metrics
- Provide HR leaders with insights on recruitment effectiveness, employee engagement, and potential risks
- Recommend optimizations for recruiting, training, and talent management
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including calculating wages, overtime, and deductions
- Reconcile and process benefits billing and bank wires
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and prepare year-end filings
- Prepare payroll reports for finance and HR and assist with audits
- Work in a hybrid arrangement based in Burbank, with commuting to the office as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor's degree in finance, human resources, accounting, or a related field is typically required
- Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, formulas, and pivot tables
- Proficiency in VLOOKUP and pivot tables is required
- Experience with HRIS or compensation software
- Ability to identify performance drivers, interpret trends, and perform variance analysis
- Exceptional accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and personnel information confidentially
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance
- Clear verbal and written skills to explain pay details to employees
