About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and analyze the accounting closing processes
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Analyze balance fluctuations and identify potential accounting inconsistencies
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements (P&L)
- Prepare monthly reports for the parent company and reconcile balances between the local ERP and the parent company’s ERP
- Analyze provisions, fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, and changes in equity and assets
- Ensure the proper classification, recording, and reconciliation of the company’s transactions
- Support internal and external audits by providing documents, reports, and clarifications
- Support the preparation and filing of ancillary accounting obligations
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting standards (CPC/IFRS) and applicable legislation
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimize accounting processes and controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Solid experience in accounting
- Knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards (CPC/IFRS)
- Experience with accounting close and reconciliations
- Advanced knowledge of balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Knowledge of corporate and tax legislation as applied to accounting
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
