About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the marketing and sales automation stack, with HubSpot Marketing and Sales Hub at the centre
- Maintain clean connections between HubSpot, product usage data, billing, website and trial funnel
- Design, build and continuously improve automated lifecycle journeys
- Automate trial onboarding, activation nudges, lead scoring and routing, upsell and cross-sell, win-back and churn prevention
- Replace recurring manual marketing and sales processes with automation
- Build AI agents natively into the funnel for qualification, enrichment, routing, response drafting and content generation
- Maintain trustworthy lifecycle stages, attribution and product-usage signals across systems
- Define metrics, baselines and iteration plans for every journey
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Growth Analytics and eCommerce to remove manual work
- Architect HubSpot data models, custom objects, properties, APIs, webhooks and integrations, or own lifecycle content and messaging journeys depending on focus area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years in marketing and sales automation, lifecycle marketing, marketing ops or CRM, ideally in B2B SaaS with a self-service or product-led motion
- Deep, hands-on HubSpot experience: workflows, custom properties and objects, lists, lifecycle stages, reporting
- Clear strength in one focus area and solid working knowledge of the other
- Genuine curiosity about AI agents and automation, with experience building things with LLMs
- Analytical and structured, with a low tolerance for manual, repetitive processes
- Fluent German and English
- Self-starter who can carry several topics in parallel and finish them
- Experience integrating product usage data into CRM-driven journeys, such as PQL scoring and usage-based triggers (nice to have)
- Experience with data warehouses, reverse ETL or event pipelines (nice to have)
- Experience migrating or rebuilding a CRM setup rather than only maintaining one (nice to have)
- For the technical/AI automation focus: experience with HubSpot data models, custom objects and properties, APIs, webhooks, integrations, n8n, Make, Zapier, LLM and agent frameworks, JSON, and enough Python or JavaScript to ship independently; prior working agentic automations
- For the lifecycle/content automation focus: experience creating onboarding series, activation emails, in-product messaging, nurture and reactivation tracks; ability to write German copy; experience using AI for content production; journey design and testing of subject lines, timing, triggers and sequencing
