About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own paid acquisition at Placetel, including strategy, channel mix, allocation and daily optimisation
  • Manage the paid acquisition budget and accountability for outcomes
  • Plan, launch and scale campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and additional channels including LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, native, affiliate and comparison portals
  • Manage performance using trials, trial-to-paid conversion, CAC, payback period and LTV/CAC
  • Establish a systematic testing cadence across audiences, bidding, offers, landing pages and creative angles
  • Collaborate with the Creative Strategist on creative briefs, results analysis and scaling decisions
  • Own tracking, attribution and measurement with analytics and eCommerce colleagues
  • Work with GA4, GTM, server-side tracking and offline CRM conversion uploads
  • Optimise the path from advertising to trial to paid customer, including landing pages, signup flow, offers and pricing tests
  • Collaborate with Growth, Product and Sales
  • Test new acquisition channels and determine whether they merit ongoing budget
  • Report performance transparently, including results and next steps

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of hands-on performance marketing experience with genuine budget responsibility, ideally in B2B SaaS and/or a DTC or high-velocity consumer brand
  • Proficiency in one paid acquisition channel and solid capability across the others
  • Experience with Google Ads or Meta and ability to run additional channels
  • Knowledge of unit economics including CAC, payback, LTV/CAC and contribution margin
  • Confidence with tracking, attribution and analytics setups
  • Ability to evaluate advertising creative, brief improved creative and identify winning angles
  • Structured experimentation skills involving hypotheses, sample sizes, decision rules and documented learning
  • Hands-on mentality and high ownership
  • Fluent German and English
  • A degree in marketing, business, business informatics or a comparable field, or an equivalent track record
  • Experience with free-trial or freemium subscription models and self-service checkout is optional
  • Experience with comparison portals, affiliate and marketplace channels in Germany is optional
  • Experience running paid marketing in more than one market or language is optional
