About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Refine and execute sales strategy to meet business goals in the Western territory
- Develop account managers and applications engineers in sales skills, business acumen, and product knowledge
- Establish performance measures and evaluate assigned sales account managers, regional technical sales roles, channel partners, manufacturers’ representatives, and programs
- Contribute to pricing decisions using market intelligence, competitive information, and market, customer, and partner feedback
- Identify, recruit, attain, and manage resellers and industry thought leaders in the territory
- Participate in joint sales calls, promote marketing programs, conduct trainings and product demonstrations, participate in tradeshows, and model effective sales behaviors
- Contribute to channel marketing programs and develop sales tools that grow channel revenue
- Analyze, refine, and execute business strategies
- Develop, execute, and maintain a regional showroom strategy
- Develop and maintain forecast reporting and provide regular, accurate updates to leadership
- Communicate market and product information to the business leadership team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of five years of technology sales leadership experience, including at least 3 years of proAV experience required
- Prior sales experience with LED and LCD displays and large flat panels preferred
- Prior experience in proAV sales through the integration channel preferred
- Demonstrated success selling and forecasting sales in the territory required
- Effective oral, written, and presentation skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Preference for prior experience using Salesforce.com
- Preference for experience with contemporary productivity and communication tools, such as Skype, social media, and telepresence
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required
- Role located in the Western US
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with applicable standards
- Physical ability to use computer hardware/software
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.; tolerate long hours on a computer keyboard and prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Travel required 60–80%
