About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and attract highly qualified candidates for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles
- Develop talent sources and maintain an ongoing pipeline, including passive candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to anticipate hiring needs, including succession planning
- Write and coordinate job descriptions and internal and external job postings
- Develop creative recruitment programs and marketing materials consistent with PPLA branding and messaging
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, scheduling, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding
- Use behavioral-based interview techniques to assess candidate competency and eliminate unqualified candidates early
- Communicate the hiring process and provide timely candidate status updates
- Make approved compensation offers according to formal compensation guidelines
- Develop strategic outreach plans to ensure a diverse candidate pool, including attending career fairs and professional events
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers on proactive sourcing and recruitment strategies
- Promote PPLA’s employee referral bonus program
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking system information, including job postings, applicant tracking, responses, and required data
- Participate in job fairs and open houses and develop relationships with vocational schools and colleges
- Perform reference and background checks and verify licenses or certifications per PPLA policy
- Compile and analyze turnover and recruitment statistics
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Maintain thorough documentation
- Ensure recruitment efforts support Agency ITT Service Standards and Workplace Values
- Support administrative, support, and non-clinical services connected to abortion patient care as an essential duty
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS Degree in a related field; equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be substituted
- Certification in Recruitment or Human Resources
- 3 years of talent acquisition level experience conducting effective sourcing / full-cycle recruiting for a variety of leadership, management, clinical, professional, technical, and support positions
- Agency recruiting/sourcing experience preferred
- Healthcare industry or related field preferred
- Skilled at building and maintaining strong internal and external working relationships
- Adept at delivering a high quality recruitment process experience to the applicant and the hiring manager
- Proven experience meeting hiring targets with qualified candidates
- Experience developing concrete and actionable strategies for “hard to fill” positions
- Experience implementing inclusive recruitment strategies
- Experience conducting effective screening, interviewing, selection, and assessment techniques
- Experience creating or leveraging marketing/advertising, social media, and other industry best practices to develop sourcing strategies
- Extensive knowledge of recruitment principles and processes and credentialing/hiring standards for health care professionals and other managerial/professional groups
- Extensive experience using Applicant Tracking Systems
- Proven ability to extract and present analytics from Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience managing preferred vendor relationships and contract employee hours
- Ability to create a compelling value proposition for engaging and recruiting passive talent
- Experience with sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection, and candidate assessment techniques
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands, accept constructive feedback, and demonstrate adaptability and flexibility
- Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County
- Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work
- If using a personal vehicle for work, a valid CA driver license and current auto insurance meeting California requirements are required
