About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage the EPIC practice management and EHR system across departments for clinical services, patient privacy, appointment scheduling, revenue cycle management, and reporting
  • Serve as the primary liaison with BetterHealth, the affiliate’s managed service organization
  • Lead the cross-functional Epic stakeholder workgroup
  • Keep Epic stakeholders and end users informed about Epic maintenance and updates
  • Identify opportunities to improve system and workflow efficiency
  • Serve as the resident Epic subject matter expert for troubleshooting, workflows, and questions
  • Monitor BetterHealth communications and shared resources
  • Attend or ensure affiliate representation at BetterHealth meetings and workgroups
  • Identify and oversee Epic optimization and system expansion projects
  • Report to and collaborate with the Epic Steering Committee
  • Lead other IT-focused projects and initiatives as needed
  • Build, revise, and evaluate system personalization tools and workflows
  • Configure billing workflows, charge codes, and fee schedules
  • Create electronic-signature forms with BetterHealth
  • Coordinate user access provisioning and deprovisioning and determine security access by role
  • Test system migrations and updates and communicate changes to stakeholders
  • Analyze workflows and configure systems
  • Maintain CarePath configuration and appointment scheduling templates
  • Build and maintain dashboard and SlicerDicer reports
  • Establish Epic ticket triage protocols and provide help desk support
  • Troubleshoot issues with stakeholders and vendors and coordinate service tickets
  • Partner with the Training Team and maintain the affiliate training environment
  • Build custom EHR reports and train end users on reporting
  • Collaborate with compliance on data audits and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years experience in IT
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records, ideally Epic Ambulatory, and practice management systems in a multi-site organization
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly without using technical jargon
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to translate technical language to non-technical colleagues
  • Comfortable working with all levels of staff within an organization
  • Ability to bridge the connection between BetterHealth and end users to foster better understanding and communication
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
