Key responsibilities & impact

Build and operationalize a standardized project management system for product development and commercialization
Establish standards for project planning, milestones, ownership, dependencies, risks, decisions, resources, and reporting
Integrate project management with Notion, Linear, Slack, and existing team tools
Train and support project and functional leads
Continuously improve project management processes as the company scales
Lead complex, cross-functional product development and product improvement projects from inception through launch
Establish project plans, owners, milestones, dependencies, and committed dates
Align teams, drive accountability, identify risks and blockers, and drive resolution
Create coordination and visibility to increase project velocity and improve launch performance
Build portfolio views of project health, priorities, resources, dependencies, and constraints
Help teams and leadership assess how changing priorities affect in-flight work
Improve timeline forecasting and capacity planning
Use project and portfolio data to increase successful execution capacity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
PMP preferred; other relevant project management training or certification considered
Experience in genomics, sequencing, life science research tools or services, or a closely related industry preferred
Demonstrated success building or materially improving project management systems
Experience leading complex, cross-functional technical projects from inception through launch
Experience across Product, Engineering, R&D, and Marketing ideally
Experience creating portfolio-level visibility across projects, resources, dependencies, timelines, and project health
Experience implementing project management tools and workflows across teams using different systems
Familiarity with Notion, Linear, Slack, or comparable platforms
Experience in fast-growing, dynamic environments where work and priorities evolve quickly
Ability to work with scientific, technical, and operational teams
Technically fluent enough to work credibly with R&D and Engineering teams
Experience using AI, automation, integrations, and other tools to simplify workflows
Legally authorized to work in the United States
