About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support endpoint migration from agency-specific enclaves to a common provider
Assess the health and deployment readiness of DAFA Microsoft Configuration Manager environments
Evaluate MECM infrastructure and document readiness findings, migration blockers, remediation owners, and retest evidence
Validate client health, management-point communication, distribution-point content, boundary behavior, and task-sequence dependencies before rollout
Engineer, test, deploy, and troubleshoot migration-preparation and Windows reimaging task sequences
Integrate approved PowerShell activities with prerequisite checks, safe error handling, reboot coordination, and diagnostic evidence preservation
Validate data protection and recovery arrangements before destructive deployment steps
Coordinate pilots, deployment targeting, rollout controls, and approved remediation with infrastructure owners and the migration team
Support provisioning-package workflows for destination Microsoft Entra join and Intune enrollment
Isolate failures at the Windows, identity, or enrollment stage
Capture source-side completion and destination enrollment evidence
Coordinate validation of policies, applications, and final endpoint management state
Monitor deployment outcomes, investigate recurring failures, and provide Tier III post-deployment stabilization support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM / Microsoft Configuration Manager) infrastructure
Experience developing and troubleshooting operating system deployment (OSD), migration-preparation, and Windows reimaging task sequences
Ability to assess MECM client health, management points, distribution points, boundaries, and deployment dependencies
Practical experience with PowerShell scripting, deployment diagnostics, and safe remediation workflows
Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra join and Microsoft Intune enrollment and the ability to troubleshoot provisioning issues
Experience coordinating enterprise endpoint migration pilots, deployment waves, and Tier III post-deployment support
Active Secret or higher DoD security clearance
U.S. citizenship required
Privileged access is required
Preferred: Experience supporting DISA, DoD Fourth Estate agencies, or other large federal enterprise endpoint migration programs
Preferred: Experience documenting migration readiness, blockers, remediation ownership, retest evidence, and final endpoint management state
