About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the central commercial point of contact for agency, technology, and marketplace partners throughout the entire partner lifecycle
  • Make and support partner-related decisions concerning commercial terms, escalations, and strategic direction
  • Represent partner interests internally and serve as the primary escalation point for commercial and strategic matters
  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new technology, agency, and marketplace partners
  • Lead commercial contract negotiations covering terms, commission and revenue-sharing models, and partner tiers, and close partnerships
  • Evaluate prospective partners based on strategic fit, market potential, and expected revenue contribution
  • Drive the commercial development of existing partners, including tier upgrades, contract renewals and amendments, renegotiation of terms, and upsell opportunities
  • Monitor revenue performance, target achievement, and the financial health of partnerships, and initiate corrective measures
  • Consolidate cross-functional partner issues and coordinate Support, Product, Sales Engineering, Partner Marketing, and Legal
  • Ensure timely, accountable, and binding responses to partner inquiries, escalating when necessary
  • Own partner-driven pipeline and revenue contribution by partner segment, including PQLs and ACV/TCV
  • Establish and optimize the lead registration and handover process between partners and PlentyONE Sales in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering on complex sales-led projects and with Partner Marketing on co-marketing initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience in partner or channel management, B2B sales, or business development, ideally in an e-commerce or SaaS environment
  • Proven success in contract negotiations, closing new partnerships, and commercially developing existing partners
  • Strong understanding of commercial partner models, including revenue share, ACV/TCV, and commission structures
  • Excellent ability to orchestrate cross-functional collaboration and align diverse internal stakeholders around a common solution
  • High level of ownership, strong negotiation skills, and a decisive, results- and closing-oriented approach
  • Clear understanding of the role: commercial decision-making authority and primary partner contact, with operational execution handled by Partner Success
  • Excellent German and English language skills
