About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verify corporate clients (KYB), identifying legal representatives and beneficial owners through global databases and registries
- Assess customer risk profiles using structured data, defined frameworks, and regulatory guidelines
- Review AML alerts, flag anomalies, and escalate potential cases to senior specialists
- Analyze transaction patterns to detect suspicious behaviors or potential financial crime indicators
- Prepare and maintain accurate digital credit files in compliance with internal policies
- Contribute to refining detection rules to reduce false positives and improve monitoring effectiveness
- Work with data-driven applications to support compliance and monitoring decisions
- Use Python for data analysis, workflow automation, and reporting
- Develop and maintain local LLM-based applications
- Apply prompt engineering to accelerate research, document drafting, and case analysis
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve tools, workflows, and system logic
- Suggest automation opportunities and AI-driven enhancements
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled in a university program in computer science, data science, business informatics, engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Strong academic track record
- Hands-on automation experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, or code-based pipelines, including API integrations
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Practical experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Structured, detail-oriented, and disciplined about testing and documenting work
- Fluent in English
- Interest in fintech and compliance topics such as AML/KYC and sanctions screening is nice to have
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, or BI tools such as Metabase is nice to have
- Experience with Taktile, other rules engines, KYB/registry/Google Maps APIs is nice to have
- Familiarity with Git and AI coding tools such as Claude Code is nice to have
