About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct research, discovery, collection, and interpretation of business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree typically required
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • In lieu of a degree, comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered
  • Experience in mortgage servicing, investor reporting, loan administration, business analysis, finance, accounting, or reconciliations
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and deliver reporting supporting strategic decision-making
  • Knowledge of the mortgage servicing lifecycle, including payment processing, escrow, loss mitigation, servicing transfers, MSP, default servicing, and investor reporting strongly preferred
  • Experience with Freddie Mac mortgage servicing operations, investor reporting, investor accounting, loan administration, servicing transfers, remittance processes, reconciliations, and Freddie Mac servicing requirements
  • Experience processing and reconciling investor funds, mortgage insurance claim proceeds, liquidation proceeds, recoveries, refunds, and other default-related cash activity
  • Experience researching and resolving discrepancies, identifying process improvement opportunities, conducting root cause analysis, and strengthening controls
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae servicing practices and investor guidelines
  • Experience with private investor and portfolio servicing operations and investor-specific servicing requirements
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and operationalizing private investor servicing agreements and contractual requirements
  • Skills in business needs, business processes, data analytics, decision making, management reporting, prioritization, and Waterfall Model
  • Competencies in analytical thinking, business assessment, business process modeling, consulting, effectiveness measurement, information capture, problem solving, process management, project management, requirements analysis, and software product business knowledge
  • No required certification, license, or language assessment
  • Must work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace if approved for remote work
