About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct research, discovery, collection, and interpretation of business requirements
- Participate in developing and reviewing complex processes, procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting
- Provide senior-level consultation and communicate with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem solving, and business analysis
- Recommend frameworks, methodologies, and processes for business requirements traceability
- Mentor, lead, and coach associates to support knowledge transfer
- Oversee development and maintenance of policy and procedure documentation
- Translate business needs, processes, and procedures by partnering with experts and stakeholders
- Lead multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance, and effectiveness assessment
- Provide direction for successful project deployment
- Drive development, analysis, and distribution of complex reporting
- Support mortgage servicing investor operations across Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, private investor portfolios, and default cash
- Drive process improvement, operational effectiveness, reporting, controls, and business analysis initiatives
- Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, and operations partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience in mortgage servicing, investor reporting, loan administration, business analysis, finance, accounting, or reconciliations
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and deliver reporting supporting strategic decision-making
- Knowledge of the mortgage servicing lifecycle, including payment processing, escrow, loss mitigation, servicing transfers, MSP, default servicing, and investor reporting strongly preferred
- Knowledge or experience with Freddie Mac servicing and default cash postings, investor reporting, investor accounting, loan administration, servicing transfers, remittance processes, reconciliations, and Freddie Mac servicing requirements
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae servicing practices and investor guidelines
- Experience supporting private investor and portfolio servicing operations and interpreting investor-specific servicing requirements and agreements
- Experience researching and resolving discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis, improving processes, and strengthening controls
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions and collaborate across stakeholder groups
- No required certifications or licenses
