About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to understand customer behavior, identify patterns, quantify business drivers, and uncover actionable opportunities
  • Lead development of analytical solutions supporting customer acquisition, engagement, retention, attrition, product adoption, household growth, and deposit performance
  • Evaluate methodological assumptions, tradeoffs, statistical validity, interpretability, scalability, and business applicability to determine analytical approaches
  • Lead analytics processes across multiple functions or business units using complex analytical tools
  • Create data-driven solutions and serve as a mentor to junior employees
  • Consult with clients and mentor consultants on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product/solution development
  • Support development, implementation, and enhancement of analytical solutions
  • Assist peers with guidance on analytical approaches for complex solutions
  • Conceptualize, develop, and continuously optimize analytical solutions for business leadership
  • Analyze results and make recommendations to business partners and senior management
  • Communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences
  • Manage customer-focused business decisions and risks in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, statistics, data science, business intelligence, customer analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • No employment visa sponsorship or STEM OPT participation
  • Roles at this level typically require a university/college degree with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
  • No required certifications
