Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute complex or escalated collateral processing activities using standard procedures
  • Process collateral activities, including perfections, continuations, and releases, in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Route communications, documents, and action items with internal and external business partners to complete transactions
  • Identify, resolve, and appropriately escalate exceptions
  • Interact with customers and manage assigned accounts or portfolios
  • Ensure materials and documentation are available to complete transactions
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and support training for new employees and junior team members
  • Respond to inquiries and ad hoc requests with supporting documentation
  • Complete complex research and provide workflow feedback
  • Review unique transactions and related documents
  • Verify completeness, accuracy, service-level conformance, and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Monitor and drive report validation and analysis
  • Manage cash needs, bank document processing, collections, loan mitigation, investor operations, deposits, bill payments, and quality management functions within Retail Bank Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates or equivalent degree, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Typically requires 4+ years of related business or functional experience
  • Knowledge of collateral processing activities, including perfections, continuations, and releases
  • Ability to review title binders for outstanding unreleased liens
  • Ability to verify public records through county websites and offices
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external partners to resolve title issues
  • Ability to research legal descriptions and verify accuracy against deeds
  • Ability to assess fees to correct title issues
  • Ability to monitor a pipeline of 100–200 accounts and meet deadlines
  • Ability to request releases for prior mortgages
  • Knowledge of how to file a title claim
  • Clear and concise documentation across multiple systems
  • Clear communication through email and phone
