About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive PNC’s creative strategy, visual identity, and architecture across digital touchpoints and always-on content
  • Define and own the visual identity system for owned content and PNC.com experiences
  • Guide the strategic direction of visual experience on PNC.com, including modules, page templates, and journeys
  • Connect PNC.com, social, video, and always-on content through a unified visual point of view
  • Produce hero assets, creative direction, and scalable design systems
  • Lead creative direction for organic social, editorial, video series, and always-on content
  • Build a studio capability with video, design, and motion templates across lines of business
  • Set production standards and briefing discipline from concept through final cut
  • Serve as connective tissue between the Content Center of Excellence and broader Marketing and Communications teams
  • Contribute to PNC’s enterprise brand evolution
  • Represent creative and visual craft in governance forums
  • Build and lead a team of visual designers and motion designers/video editors
  • Set hiring standards, briefing standards, and review rhythm
  • Run craft critiques and develop the team’s judgment
  • Operationalize AI tooling to scale approved concepts across article, social, video, and paid variants
  • Build and operate within the COE hub-and-spoke operating model
  • Establish strategic communication direction and oversee planning, research, content development, and measurement
  • Advise executives and management on communications and resolve issues
  • Lead analytics, reporting, accountability frameworks, and marketing/business strategy integration
  • Manage employee performance, coaching, and development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree typically required; Education: Bachelors
  • 8+ years of industry-relevant experience typically required
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
  • Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility required
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of branding, change management, creative process, design thinking, digital marketing, media relations, prioritization, strategic communication planning, and strategic planning
  • Competencies in business acumen, continuous transformation, copywriting and editing, effective communications, effectiveness measurement, influencing through expertise, organizational communications, organizational savvy and politics, performance management, storytelling, and strategic thinking
  • AI tools are already how you create; ability to operationalize AI tooling inside creative production
  • No required certifications
  • No required licenses
