About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, direct, oversee, and provide strategic direction to the investment function for particular segment(s)
  • Manage critical measurements and business and customer experience results for a product portfolio
  • Support the overall mission and vision of the business
  • Serve as a senior leadership team member and function subject matter expert
  • Collaborate on AMG client investment initiatives
  • Provide strategic input and establish priorities for new products, investment strategy, and customer needs
  • Ensure investment management policies are in place and adhere to PNC policies and procedures
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate risk management issues involving audit, compliance, or regulatory matters
  • Organize and participate in special projects and initiatives
  • Promote a positive client experience and proactive practice management
  • Achieve overall business growth objectives
  • Oversee functional duties and career development of investment advisors and investment product managers
  • Oversee local delivery of the investment management process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree and higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications typically required
  • Bachelor's degree listed under Education
  • Industry-relevant experience typically 8+ years
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
  • Proven leadership experience with a large scope of responsibility required
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of investment management
  • Financial modeling knowledge
  • Finance strategy knowledge
  • Portfolio management competency
  • Risk management competency
  • Sales management competency
  • Relationship management skills
