About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the enterprise portfolio of AI solution validation and assurance activities
  • Evaluate AI solutions before release and make certification and go/no-go decisions based on risk-aligned validation requirements and controls
  • Oversee post-deployment monitoring of AI performance, risk, and safety metrics
  • Lead escalation, remediation, and issue resolution for threshold breaches
  • Partner with solution owners and delivery teams to ensure compliance with validation and governance requirements throughout the AI lifecycle
  • Advise on AI validation standards and drive adherence to enterprise policies and risk management expectations
  • Direct and consult on analytical projects using structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights
  • Direct data gathering, processing, and mining of large and complex datasets
  • Provide deep technical expertise to advance data science capabilities
  • Represent PNC and provide internal and external data science thought leadership
  • Supervise implementation of advanced analytics projects
  • Help data scientists present analytical processes and outcomes to management
  • Partner with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Visualization Experts to develop data-driven solutions
  • Operate as a senior individual contributor with enterprise-wide program leadership responsibilities and executive visibility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree typically required for roles at this level
  • Masters degree, PhD, or certifications desirable
  • Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
  • Knowledge of analytical thinking, competitive advantages, data analytics, data mining, data science, and machine learning
  • Competency in data architecture, data mining, disruptive innovation, information capture, machine learning, modeling, prototyping, and query/database access tools
  • No required certifications
  • No required licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not provide sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT
