About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions
Propose and design software solutions addressing complex business needs
Prepare required technical and procedural documentation
Facilitate complex problem resolution
Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
Review software coding, testing, and documentation
Apply modern software development principles, methodologies, and tools
Develop data-intensive applications supporting business and regulatory requirements
Lead, collaborate, design, and program data-related changes from consumption through reporting
Manage ETL code deployments using DevOps tools
Align business strategy with software solutions
Assess and manage risks in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of development experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Formal experience working on projects using a methodology such as waterfall or agile
Banking and Regulatory Reporting experience is a plus
Advanced design and programming skills in Informatica PowerCenter 9.6 and above and Oracle SQL/PLSQL
Proficiency developing and debugging PL/SQL code
Experience developing SCD mappings with different source formats and necessary transformations
Experience tuning Targets, Sources, Mappings, Sessions, and Workflows for performance
Ability to design HTTP Transformations
Experience handling ETL code deployments using DevOps tools
Hands-on knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and CA7 job scheduler
Intermediate-level skills in data analysis and data modeling
Experience with Alteryx is preferred
Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI is preferred
Hands-on knowledge using Teradata is preferred
Working knowledge of software design patterns and architecture is preferred
University/college degree and 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience typically required; comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
