About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, including CMBS, balance sheet, and agency loans
- Ensure compliance with loan documents and accurate transaction processing
- Provide timely reporting to stakeholders
- Analyze and interpret complex loan agreements to apply loan terms in servicing activities
- Perform servicing activities in compliance with servicing agreements, documentation, internal policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Resolve non-compliant issues through written and verbal communication with internal and external parties
- Review and process loan payments, escrows, and reserve account disbursements
- Assist with periodic investor, internal, and regulatory reporting
- Perform covenant compliance testing
- Maintain accurate and current loan servicing records
- Support onboarding of new loans and transitions of paid-off or transferred loans
- Support tax and insurance administration
- Perform collection activities on delinquent accounts
- Exercise funds disbursement authority when applicable
- Review reports to identify exceptions, ensure quality, and support risk mitigation
- Identify and contact authorized parties to complete Borrower Admin registration for CRE Insight access
- Process borrower requests through phone, email, and the CRE Insight portal
- Research and process incoming and aged funds
- Monitor delinquencies and perform collection activities
- Review and process borrower-requested late-charge waivers
- Complete address changes, audit confirmations, and rate-cap reviews
- Communicate and collaborate with functional departments to address borrower questions and issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or equivalent degree
- Typically requires 4+ years of related business or functional experience
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
- Knowledge of commercial real estate loan servicing, including CMBS, balance sheet, and agency loans
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex loan agreements
- Ability to apply loan terms accurately in loan servicing activities
- Knowledge of servicing agreements, loan documentation, internal policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to resolve non-compliant issues through written and verbal communication
- Ability to review and process loan payments, escrows, and reserve account disbursements
- Ability to prepare or assist with investor, internal, and regulatory reports
- Ability to perform covenant compliance testing
- Ability to maintain accurate loan servicing records in a servicing system
- Ability to support new-loan onboarding and paid-off or transferred-loan transitions
- Ability to support tax and insurance administration
- Ability to perform collection activities on delinquent accounts
