About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Screen potential private equity investment opportunities across various industry sectors and geographies
  • Perform due diligence, including industry and company research on prospective investments
  • Prepare in-depth financial models and analyses, including historical and projected financial results and evaluation of assumptions and risk factors
  • Assist with preparation of screening and investment committee materials
  • Support senior investment professionals in negotiating and developing legal documentation for prospective investments
  • Monitor post-acquisition financial and operating performance of investments
  • Work closely with the firm's other investment professionals to source, underwrite, close, and monitor junior capital investments
  • Take on additional responsibility as demonstrated over time
  • Execute tactical work within the team or business unit, manage assignments and workflow independently, and provide daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting
  • Minimum of two to three years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, or other M&A experience
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling
  • Skill in analyzing investment opportunities, including thorough evaluation of all aspects of a company’s business plan
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and concisely in writing, oral presentations, and informal discussions
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior managers of financial sponsors and target companies
  • University/college degree and 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience typically required at this level; comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • No required certifications or licenses
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
