About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage 2–3 concurrent medium-sized data and automation projects from initiation through implementation
  • Partner with data engineering, automation, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams
  • Support projects involving data ingestion, batch processing, enterprise data integration, metadata management, and data governance
  • Coordinate activities for bringing data into internal platforms and environments
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk logs, status reports, and stakeholder communications
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Track project dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Align project objectives, resource requirements, and implementation timelines
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget targets
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with updates on project health, milestones, and delivery outcomes
  • Manage resources, allocate work, assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution
  • Draft and submit project budget proposals and recommend budget changes
  • Track and report progress, analyze results, define project products, and forecast trends
  • Manage scope changes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Maintain communications with governing bodies and interested parties
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management and delivery processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Project management experience leading technology or data-related initiatives
  • Experience managing projects within data, analytics, data engineering, or automation environments
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, schedules, and status reporting
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Budget tracking and financial management experience
  • University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Agile certification preferred
  • No required certifications or licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT for this position
