About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead multiple concurrent medium- to large-scale projects and strategic initiatives from initiation through implementation and post-project assessment
- Deliver projects within scope, schedule, budget, and established timeframes
- Develop project strategies, plans, timelines, governance structures, resource allocations, budgets, guidelines, and stakeholder communication strategies
- Partner with business leaders, technology teams, risk partners, compliance organizations, operational stakeholders, internal project liaisons, and external vendors
- Acquire resources, assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks
- Facilitate project governance meetings and provide executive-level reporting on status, milestones, and key performance indicators
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, risk management, and organizational requirements
- Manage change control and support organizational change management efforts
- Coach and mentor project team members
- Track and report progress, analyze results, define project products, and forecast future trends
- Proactively manage scope changes, identify potential crises, devise contingency plans, and recommend improvements
- Maintain communications with governing bodies and interested parties
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Experience leading complex business or technology initiatives
- Experience managing large cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies
- Strong risk management, stakeholder management, budget management, and communication skills
- Experience working within a regulated industry environment
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives, including AI implementation, process transformation, governance, or operationalization efforts
- Financial services or banking industry experience preferred
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification preferred but not required
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not provide sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT
