About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology initiatives and associated workstreams
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, schedules, delivery roadmaps, and release timelines
- Align project objectives and execution strategies with enterprise priorities, technology roadmaps, and business goals
- Coordinate execution across business, product, technology, architecture, quality engineering, operations, and vendor teams
- Drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Manage project scope, schedule, resources, deliverables, and financials
- Lead implementation readiness, transition-to-support planning, and post-production stabilization
- Own budgets, forecasts, actuals, variance analysis, reconciliation, funding approvals, and benefit realization
- Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, milestone updates, governance materials, and strategic communications
- Manage risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, dependencies, vendors, contracts, statements of work, invoices, and delivery performance
- Ensure adherence to TPMO methodology, governance requirements, enterprise standards, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate governance forums, executive checkpoints, health assessments, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to project team members and junior project managers
- Manage projects from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment
- Develop project strategy, processes, resource allocation, budgets, guidelines, and support for the project management team
- Acquire resources, assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution
- Track and report progress, analyze results, forecast trends, manage scope changes, devise contingency plans, and recommend improvements
- Maintain communications with governing bodies and interested parties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Project management experience leading large-scale technology initiatives
- Proven track record delivering complex technology, infrastructure, digital transformation, or enterprise modernization programs
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking, and benefit realization
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams, dependencies, and cross-functional delivery teams
- Strong organizational leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Experience managing enterprise-level risks, issues, vendors, contracts, and organizational change initiatives
- Excellent verbal, written, and executive-level communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple initiatives simultaneously in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience within financial services, banking, payments, corporate banking, or a Technology PMO environment preferred
- No required certifications
