Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the most complex projects from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment
  • Meet project objectives within established timeframes
  • Manage a single project or portfolio requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business
  • Develop strategy, processes, resource allocation, budget, guidelines, and support for the project management team
  • Partner with internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution
  • Coach and mentor project team members
  • Track and report progress, analyze results based on facts, define project products, and forecast future trends
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope
  • Identify potential crises, devise contingency plans, and recommend improvements based on results
  • Maintain communications for governing bodies and interested parties
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner
  • Drive execution excellence through program governance, integrated planning, financial management, risk management, stakeholder engagement, dependency management, and benefit realization
  • Partner across the Corporate Technology Office portfolio to deliver initiatives supporting business strategy, operational transformation, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree, typically a Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven record of delivering complex initiatives and achieving business outcomes
  • Ability to operate independently with limited direction
  • Strong learning agility and ability to quickly gain domain expertise
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust across business and technology teams
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities, including proactive identification and mitigation
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience facilitating discussions, driving decisions, and escalating appropriately
  • Executive presence and confidence communicating with senior leaders
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and create clarity for stakeholders
  • Program or project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience managing integrated plans, dependencies, budgets, and governance activities
  • Experience partnering with technical teams and understanding technology delivery lifecycles
  • Ability to drive accountability and follow-through across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Preferred: PMP Certification
  • Preferred: Agile certifications such as CSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP
  • Preferred: Banking or financial services experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with financial forecasting, benefit realization, and executive reporting
  • Preferred: Experience working in large, highly matrixed organizations
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience with Jira and Clarizen
  • Preferred: Peer leadership and mentoring experience
  • No required certifications or licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
