About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and review of test strategies and plans aligned with project goals, including scope, tools, and testing approaches
  • Guide junior team members on testing needs
  • Identify and address resource and environment gaps
  • Escalate unresolved or recurring issues to appropriate Quality Engineer leadership
  • Monitor and manage testing risks and defects to meet ECO standards and ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare and deliver test summary reports and documentation for Technology leaders, Governance/Risk teams, and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate across teams
  • Participate in Quality Engineer CoP meetings to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Apply customer-focused practices and manage risks in alignment with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree typically required for roles at this level
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Bachelor's degree listed under Education
  • Knowledge of analytical thinking, controls testing, corporate governance, quality assurance, quality support, software testing, test case development, and usability testing
  • Competency in application design, architecture, application development tools, application maintenance, application testing, system development life cycle, and technical writing/documentation
  • No required certifications
  • No required licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
  • Must be able to work without employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not provide sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT
