About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical evaluation and analysis in a specific security area
- Support activities, processes, and tools that improve the organization’s overall security posture
- Apply security concepts, review information, execute defined tasks, analyze requirements, review logs, and create documentation
- Conduct forensic investigations for PNC Bank, including employee relations, email, and legal holds
- Perform investigations involving data loss prevention and data manipulation, and coordinate related activities
- Address or mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
- Review and define security controls
- Advise clients, security administrators, and network operations on complex security procedures and products
- Participate in enforcing controls addressing security risks and threats
- Share knowledge with staff
- Conduct security assessments and other information security routines
- Investigate and recommend corrective actions for data security issues in line with established guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree typically required, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Experience with forensic investigations using examiner machines in a lab
- Knowledge of incident response, forensics, and cybersecurity
- Knowledge of digital forensics, computer forensics, investigative experience, forensic analysis, and forensic examination
- Knowledge of access control, disaster recovery planning, information security, network security, physical security, risk assessments, and security technologies
- Analytical thinking, effective communications, information assurance, information security management, information security technologies, IT environment, IT standards/procedures/policies, IT systems management, problem solving, and software security assurance
- PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT
- IACIS-CFCE or SANS/GIAC forensics certifications preferred
