About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide accounting, reporting, and analytical expertise supporting a business function or business unit
  • Provide specialized accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, accounting research, and control oversight
  • Create accounting memoranda and specialized reports for internal and external use
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries and appropriate audit work papers
  • Reconcile accounts related to bank accounting, loans and investments, deposits, tax, and subsidiary regulatory reporting
  • Support and assist accounting staff in developing their professional skills
  • Assess and manage risks associated with business objectives and activities in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Apply customer-focused practices in business decisions and customized customer solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, financial and accounting systems, internal controls, and GAAP
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Decision making and critical thinking
  • Credit analysis and verification
  • Knowledge of underwriting
  • Market research
  • Real estate development and real estate practice
  • Real estate property data analysis
  • Real estate sales closings and agreements
  • Regulatory environment - financial services
  • Experience in LIHTC is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Oracle is a plus
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not provide sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT
  • No required certifications or licenses
