About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research, discover, collect, and interpret business requirements
- Participate in developing and reviewing processes, procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting
- Consult with clients on business designs, problem solving, and business analysis to support project management
- Develop and maintain applicable policy and procedure documentation
- Independently identify business requirements needed to carry out and improve business processes
- Provide expertise and problem-solving for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process
- Translate business needs, processes, and procedures by partnering with experts and business stakeholders
- Communicate moderately complex business requirements to stakeholders and technology teams
- Provide gap analysis and facilitate future business process modeling
- Consult on, develop, test, implement, and support technology solutions
- Liaise between technology teams and internal partners for application maintenance, enhancements, and new solutions
- Support application testing, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions
- Research emerging technologies, including AI, and identify process, user-experience, and efficiency improvements
- Explore responsible uses of AI and automation
- Evaluate AI-generated information for accuracy, limitations, and need for human review
- Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams from concept through implementation
- Support projects involving new technologies, integrations, automation, and process improvements
- Apply customer-focused decision-making and manage risks under PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
- Broad technology knowledge, including business applications, enterprise technology, or technology-enabled processes
- Experience gathering and translating business needs into technology requirements and potential solutions
- Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Comfort working through ambiguity, changing priorities, and complex problems
- Strong technology literacy, including business applications, automation, and emerging technologies
- Ability to learn and use new software, tools, and technologies, including AI, while critically evaluating results
- Knowledge of responsible technology practices, data security, privacy, and handling sensitive information
- PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
- Workday experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, Excel, and OneNote; business process analysis; technology testing, QA, implementation, and troubleshooting; project management; data analytics and business intelligence; system administration, configuration, security, or user access management; automation and AI applications
