About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and lead the enterprise AI testing and evaluation function
- Design, execute, and continuously enhance testing frameworks for high-impact AI solutions
- Own pre-deployment testing and post-deployment monitoring for generative and agentic AI solutions
- Establish AI performance, risk, and safety standards with Model Risk Management
- Define thresholds, monitoring criteria, and escalation triggers
- Lead responses and escalations for AI-related risks and incidents
- Execute mitigation and containment actions, including solution pausing, patching, or deployment suspension
- Provide technical leadership for a team of AI specialists
- Contribute hands-on to technical strategy, testing methodologies, and problem-solving
- Lead day-to-day team activities as a people leader and AI evaluation subject matter expert
- Oversee end-to-end analytical projects using structured and unstructured data
- Provide leadership, direction, and methodology for Data Scientists developing models and data-driven solutions
- Recruit, train, and develop Data Scientists
- Work with executive leadership to identify data science project opportunities and plan budgets and scopes
- Oversee relationships with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Visualization Experts
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree typically required, or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Masters degree desirable
- Typically 8+ years of industry experience
- At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
- Strong proficiency in Python, Microsoft Studio, Agent Builder, and Azure
- Knowledge of AI Governance, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Mining, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Responsible AI
- Competency in Data Mining, Information Capture, Machine Learning, Data Modeling, Prototyping, and Query and Database Access Tools
- No required certifications
- No required licenses
- No required or preferred language assessments
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not provide sponsorship
