About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead implementation of analytical projects using structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights
Direct data gathering, processing, and mining of large and complex datasets
Lead development of algorithms using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques, including machine learning, to predict business outcomes and recommend optimal actions to management
Lead analytical experiments to identify opportunities for product and process optimization
Present business insights to management using visualization technologies and data storytelling
Partner with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Visualization Experts to develop data-driven business solutions
Support analytics initiatives across Branch Banking, Customer Care Center, and Customer Analytics functions
Develop predictive models, conduct ad hoc analyses, support test-and-learn initiatives, and deliver actionable insights that improve customer and business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
Strong experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Advanced Analytics roles
Advanced programming skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, or JupyterHub/Jupyter Notebook environments
Experience working in Linux environments
Experience with big data platforms, including Teradata and large-scale data processing frameworks
Strong statistical, analytical, and mathematical problem-solving skills
Experience developing predictive models and performing forecasting, and Clustering/Segmentation Analysis
Experience conducting ad hoc analyses and translating data into business recommendations
Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts effectively to business stakeholders, technical teams, and non-technical audiences
Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI
Strong coding, analytical, and communication skills
PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
Experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry preferred
Experience supporting customer analytics, branch banking analytics, or contact center analytics functions preferred
Knowledge of customer behavior modeling and business performance measurement preferred
Familiarity with experimental design, A/B testing, and test-and-learn methodologies preferred
Experience working with cross-functional teams in large enterprise environments preferred
In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
