About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Obtain and review due diligence items for various loan and collateral types, including UCC searches, operating agreements, entity good standing searches, and property/lien reports
  • Draft legal documentation packages for Commercial Business Banking loans
  • Independently and proactively manage a pipeline of new money and existing loan modifications
  • Create and maintain legal document files for complex transactions
  • Satisfy required due diligence for complex and standard transactions following standard operating procedures
  • Gather information from internal and external contacts
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve exceptions
  • Achieve and maintain established quality thresholds
  • Follow job aids and procedures, including evidencing within shared drives and source systems
  • Prepare documents according to credit approval specifications, deal requirements, and policies
  • Provide client-facing service and interact with external business partners
  • Provide on-the-job training or coaching
  • Coordinate with Servicing to onboard and accurately book transactions into the accounting system
  • Prepare and issue legal documents to clients and review client-executed documents for compliance
  • Prepare requests to release client funds
  • Prepare and file security documentation required to perfect interest in collateral

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates or equivalent degree, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience
  • Typically requires 4+ years of related business or functional experience
  • Knowledge of complex transactions, documentation, due diligence, finance strategy, financial operations, and public accounting
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Data gathering and reporting
  • Decision making and critical thinking
  • Effective communications
  • Managing multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of operational functions, products and services, and the regulatory environment in financial services
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 10:00 am EST–7:00 pm EST
  • Must work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace if approved for remote work
