About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, including CMBS, balance sheet, and agency loans
  • Identify and contact authorized parties to complete Borrower Admin registration for CRE Insight access
  • Process borrower requests via phone, email, and the CRE Insight portal
  • Research and process incoming and aged funds
  • Monitor delinquencies and perform collection activities
  • Review and process borrower-requested late charge waivers
  • Complete address changes, audit confirmations, and rate cap reviews
  • Communicate and collaborate with functional departments to assist borrowers
  • Ensure compliance with loan documents and accurately process transactions
  • Analyze and interpret complex loan agreements to apply loan terms in servicing activities
  • Resolve non-compliant issues with internal and external parties
  • Review and process loan payments, escrows, and reserve account disbursements
  • Prepare periodic investor, internal, and regulatory reports
  • Perform covenant compliance testing
  • Maintain accurate and current loan servicing records
  • Support onboarding of new loans and transitions of paid-off or transferred loans
  • Support tax and insurance administration
  • Review reports to identify exceptions, ensure quality, and mitigate risk
  • Serve as a subject matter resource and provide specialty product training when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree typically required, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Bachelor’s degree listed under Education
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate loan servicing, including CMBS, balance sheet, and agency loans
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex loan agreements
  • Ability to ensure compliance with loan documents, servicing agreements, internal policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to process transactions accurately and provide timely reporting
  • Ability to resolve non-compliant issues through written and verbal communication
  • Ability to review loan payments, escrows, reserve account disbursements, and delinquent accounts
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date loan servicing records
  • Analytical thinking, capital management, compliance requirements, documentation, due diligence, loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Financial analysis, customer interaction, decision making and critical thinking, effective communications, managing multiple priorities, negotiating, operational functions, products and services, and relationship management
