About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines
Direct and consult on all phases of the software engineering life cycle
Troubleshoot technical problems using agile methods
Lead complex problem solving and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
Monitor security technology trends
Ensure adaptability of techniques to various system architectures
Encourage sound technology choices and drive innovative technology architecture and solution design
Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development
Guide architecture and development teams toward a cohesive Enterprise Architecture vision
Analyze existing systems and architecture to shape technology and business decisions
Establish architecture design standards and review solution designs
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams
Support the transition from an on-premise environment to the cloud by modernizing and aligning existing systems
Collaborate with principal engineers, the Director of Engineering, the VP of Development, organizational leaders, and engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

University / college degree typically required; Education lists Bachelors
8+ years of industry-relevant experience typically required
In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
Broad understanding of software technologies, platforms, and architectural best practices
Strong background in enterprise-scale system design
Hands-on experience across multiple languages and frameworks
Preferred familiarity with Azure cloud services
Proficiency in Delphi, C#, Java/JavaScript, and TypeScript preferred
Agile methodology, cloud computing, debugging, DevOps, distributed systems, project management, software architectures, software engineering, and system designs
Application design, architecture, coaching others, design thinking, IT environment, problem solving, software process improvement, system development life cycle, and technical troubleshooting
No required certifications

No required or preferred language assessments
