About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop a team of Product Managers responsible for strategic immediate payment solutions
- Define and execute the immediate payments product strategy and multi-year roadmap
- Drive product strategy, priorities, client adoption and usage, revenue, and direct expenses across the product lifecycle
- Partner with Product Management, Product Development, Technology, Operations, Servicing, Implementation, and Risk teams
- Develop and maintain the product strategy plan, competitive position, growth strategies, financial and performance metrics, and product roadmap
- Champion product improvements with business justification and prioritization
- Collaborate with product development and operations to define scope and requirements for new initiatives
- Manage product financials, including budgeting and forecasting revenue growth and direct expenses
- Provide periodic financial, product, and industry updates
- Ensure a positive end-to-end client experience with Operations, Sales, Servicing, Implementation, Risk, and Compliance partners
- Develop marketing, collateral, and communication materials with Go-to-Market teams
- Educate Treasury Management partners on product capabilities and enhancements
- Participate in industry groups and meet with Federal Reserve representatives
- Contribute thought leadership through articles, conferences, and other forums
- Engage with standards forums to influence industry change
- Collaborate with PNC lines of business on enterprise immediate payments initiatives
- Present initiatives for senior management buy-in and manage delivery against time, budget, and strategic goals
- Monitor competitors and emerging product and technology trends
- Lead teams translating concepts into new or improved products and resolving complex operational and process problems
- Evaluate product development projects for feasibility and value
- Participate in client-facing and external stakeholder activities
- Review and sign off on risk management, compliance, and audit requirements as needed
- Manage, motivate, and develop product lines, managers, and key contributors
- Identify talent gaps and staff appropriately
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive Immediate Payments product management experience, including instant payments, intelligent payment routing, B2C payee choice solutions, direct-to-debit card and Zelle disbursements
- Knowledge of other non-U.S. domestic wire systems helpful
- Proven ability to partner effectively with product development, operations, sales and other stakeholders
- Ability to define, prioritize and execute product work across multiple platforms and initiatives
- Strong communication and influence skills
- Experience operating and presenting at a strategic level while maintaining accountability for execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience presenting at industry conferences and with senior-level corporate decision makers
- University/college degree typically required; Bachelor's degree listed
- Industry experience typically 8+ years
- At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered
